Jetty
OLYMPUS E-300 ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-54mm, F11 1/320sec. ISO100
This shot shows a jetty that protects an artificial beach. What I like about it is that it is built of stone, rather than ugly concrete tetrapods. Breakwaters like this were probably quite common in Fukagawa during the Edo Period when land reclamation was rampant. I like scenes like this, and I’m glad that such stone jetties are still standing today.
