Mount Tateyama above the clouds
OLYMPUS E-1 ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-54mm, F14 1/250sec. ISO100 5300K
By November, it's midwinter on Mount Tateyama in the Northern Japanese Alps. Here, the snow can be two to three meters deep and although it's often snowy, windy and cloudy, on a clear day it becomes a different world of virgin white. Down below one can see the Midagahara Plateau, Mount Kuwasaki appearing from behind a bank of cloud, and in the distance, Mount Hakusan in the Kaga region.
