Olympus Eco-Forum
Olympus began holding these events in FY 2002, primarily for senior management and executive-level employees. Their purpose is to share information about environmental planning and the results of environmental initiatives. The fifth Eco-Forum, held in December 2006, began with a keynote address on the Olympus Group's efforts as an environmentally advanced organization to reduce environmental burdens in all areas of activity. This was followed by a briefing on the President's environmental policies for FY 2007, and presentations on environmental initiatives in the planning, development and marketing areas. The many participants in the event gained a better understanding of environmental initiatives and were motivated to take action.
