Olympus (Beijing) Industry & Technology Limited （Pan Yu Branch) and Olympus (Guangzhou) Industrial strengthened Environmental Management, focusing on laying the groundwork for it. The environment of the plants and offices has been much improved by various activities. Judges could not find any nonconformity during the screening for ISO14001 certification and gave our employees credit for it. We aim to unify, maintain and manage record formats thoroughly.
Olympus (Guangzhou) Industrial invited its employees to submit short essays on the theme "Environmental conservation and energy saving" in September of the environmental month, and received 151 essays.
The best ones were disclosed to other workers and received cash incentives and prizes. The following is one of the award winning essays: "Environmental Preservation awareness of mine" by Méi Gung Xiá.
The company also instructed its employees to enhance awareness of the importance of water and electricity saving by posting more than 30 essays, such as "Contributing to the Achievement of an Energy-Saving Society" on the company notice board's "Environment Column".
As for waste, the recycling rate improved to 92% from 85% thanks to the strict control of waste (in October), and supervision and administration of recycling processes.
