The Result of the Environmental Photo Contest for Employees in All Over the World We had held the environmental photo contest as the theme of "Blessings of Nature would like to be kept for our future " that is the view of the 'Forest, River, and Sea' and/or 'Land' and/or the animals/plants that cultivate in blessings of nature
During the environmental awareness month, Olympus group held global photo contest in each 4 global regions as Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania, and Japan to enhance employees' environmental initiatives.
1,252 photos in total attend this contest and we announce 4 best photos and 16 untried photos in this fiscal 2011.
Notes:( ) that attached to the title of each work showed its region as follows; Japan as (JPN), Europe as (EUR), Americas as (US), and Asia and Oceania as (ASIA)

- One day while doing yard work I noticed activity in a holly bush behind my house. Taking a closer look I saw four baby catbirds. After each feeding when the parents flew off, I carefully manicured the bush and set up two remote flash units so as to get just the right shot. I shot hundreds of images over the course of two weekends, but this was my favorite. Sitting and watching the parents feeding their young, this for me was truly a blessing of nature.

- Beautiful and spectacular terraced fields in Long Sheng Xian, Guang X? Sheng, China. I took this beautiful terraced fields with girls at 7 o'clock in the morning, May 30, after I wait for the shooting opportunities for several days.

- Fireflies in Matsuo Canyon, Tatsuno, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. In Tatsuno, people has made efforts to improve the good environment for fireflies, that makes Tatsuno became now so called the best SATOYAMA for fireflies in Japan.
