The weatherproof compact digital camera µ[mju:] 780/Stylus 780 features a 5x optical zoom and a 2.5-inch hyper-crystal LCD monitor and incorporates face detection and backlight adjustment technology. Olympus' dual image stabilization system minimizes blurring caused by camera or subject movement. Even with the addition of these new features, we have kept the quantities of harmful substances used down to within the low levels stipulated by our own management standards. The µ[mju:] 780/Stylus 780 combines superior photographic performance with a light-weight environmental footprint and makes a significant contribution to energy and resource conservation as well.

High-performance and curtailed DSA lens
µ780/830 / Stylus 780/830 is equipped DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) lens. This lens that is thin in its center provides wider refraction index and correction for lens aberration. It realized that the total length of lens was curtailed, which is contribute to its small and light body.

Hazardous substances-free product
The µ780/Stylus 780 does not use any materials prohibited bythe Environment-related Substances Used in Product Control Rules. No polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is used in the electrical insulation of interconnection and structural materials as well, and the lenses are made using eco-glass containing no lead, cadmium or arsenic.
Use of corrugated cardboard for packaging and cushioning
To facilitate recycling, we use only cardboard to package and cushion our products.
