The superbly versatile GX41 is ideal for on-site observation and recording. The UIS optical system used in the GX41 delivers bright, crystal clear images. Don't be misled by the compact size of its body -- this model incorporates all of the functions required for inspecting metallic specimens, large metal parts, and electronic parts. It is the perfect microscope to have on hand for quick inspections at production sites. Light and compact, the GX41 contains no harmful substances and is also environmentally friendly by contributing to both resource and energy conservation.

Hazardous substances-free product
does not use any materials prohibited by the Environment-related Substances Used in Product Control Rules, in which the use of certain substances is prohibited:
Manufactured using lead-free solder.
Exclusion(*) of hexavalent chromium and lead: No hexavalent chromium or lead were used in the surface treatment of metal parts or in any of the metallic materials.
Exclusion(*) of lead and arsenic: The optical glass used in the lenses and prisms, etc., contain no lead or arsenic.

* The definition of "exclusion" is based on Olympus standards. Some accessories are not covered.

Use of corrugated cardboard for packaging and cushioning
To facilitate recycling, we are increasing the use of corrugated fiberboard to package our products.

Material Labeling
Also to facilitate recycling, information about materials is shown on all molded plastic and die cast parts

LCA Results
Environmental burdens throughout the lifetime of the product were verified using product environmental impact assessments based on the Olympus LCA (OLCA) system.
