Olympus Eco-Products : Box-Type Fluorescence Imaging Device FSX100
This is the fluorescences imaging device of the box type that can acquire the fluorescence images of the specimen by operating PC with the instruction of its software. It has been realized not only simple operation but environmental consciousness not to include hazardous substance and minimize the use of packaging.

Hazardous substances-free product
It does not use any materials prohibited by the Environment-related Substances Used in Product Control Rules, in which the use of certain substances is prohibited: Manufactured using lead-free solder.
ExclusionNote 1 of hexavalent chromium and lead: No hexavalent chromium or lead were used in the surface treatment of metal parts or in any of the metallic materials.
ExclusionNote 1 of lead and arsenic: The optical glass used in the lenses and prisms, etc., contain no lead or arsenic.
Note1: The definition of "exclusion" is based on Olympus standards. PCs and monitors are not covered.
Energy saving
We can change a fluorescence illumination lamp from conventional 100W to 80W, because we make illumination efficiency and optics performance enhanced.
In the sate of standby (during the wait to start), LED turn on and off slowly every two seconds and rouse to urge to turn off the main power supply by switch.
Resource saving
To minimize the use of packaging, we just utilize one from conventional 25 assemblies.
LCA Results Note 2
Environmental burdens occurring during use account for approximately 80% of all environmental burdens during the life of the product by consuming electricity at circuit board. By contract, Environmental burdens occurring during parts manufacturing, products assembly, logistics, and disposal has less impact.
