Olympus Eco-Products : Compact Digital Camera µTOUGH-6000/6010/Stylus TOUGH-6000/6010
This compact digital camera that can be used in outdoor leisure by waterproofNote1 to a depth of 3 meters, shockproof against falls from 1.5mNote2, and low-temprature-proofNote3. Its slim and stylish body is also suitable for the formal and any situation.
It is realized to save resources highly by reform of ones system and device.
Note 1: Equivalent to Level 8 protection under the JIS standard, and means that the camera can be used underwater for the time and at the pressure specified by Olympus.
Note 2: The test was conducted using a method based on Olympus quality standards and devised by Olympus on the basis of a U.S.
Department of Defense standard for testing military equipment (MIL Standard 81 OF Method 516.5 Selecting Procedure IV).
Note 3: It became able to take fewer photos in lower temperature.

Hazardous substances-free product
The µTOUGH-6000/Stylus TOUGH-6000 does not use any materials prohibited by the Environment-related Substances Used in Product Control Rules.
No polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is used in the electrical insulation of interconnection,
and the lenses are made using eco-glass containing no lead, cadmium or arsenic.
Resource saving
Compared with conventional products, it consumes about 13% less one's packed weight and 40% less one's packed volume, that also contributes less environmental burdens occurring during distribution.
Use of corrugated cardboard for packaging and cushioning
To facilitate recycling, we use only cardboard to package and cushion our products.
Material Labeling
Also to facilitate recycling, information about materials is shown on all plastic
parts that are large enough to carry labels.
LCA Results Note1
Environmental burdens occurring during distribution account for approximately 50% of all environmental burdens during the life of the product.
