Creation of "Green Curtains"
Bitter cucumber (Momordica charantia), loofah (Luffa cylindrica) and Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) plants and other species have been cultivated around the outer walls of the factory and administration buildings to create "green curtains." The foliage reduces inside temperatures by providing shade against the summer sun. In addition, employees can harvest fruit and vegetables and enjoy the flowers. This initiative is also helping to raise employees' environmental awareness by encouraging them to think about environmental problems in their immediate surroundings.
