The first Olympus enzyme immunoassay analyzers were created collaboratively by combining various Olympus technologies with the experience and knowledge of leading reagent manufacturers. Olympus has continued to contribute to the advancement of enzyme immunoassay technology by developing a variety of unique systems.
Announced in 1987, the PK300 enzyme immunoassay analyzer was developed in collaboration with Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd. and Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd. It employs the U-shaped tubes used in the first chemistry analyzers to perform heterogeneous immune reaction tests. These tests, which allow extremely precise measurement, involve the separation of reacted material from non-reacted material.
OEM Products
In addition to products supplied under the Olympus brand, Olympus also supplies systems based on various testing methods to major Japanese manufacturers of immunoassay testing systems on an OEM basis.
