Industrial Business
In the non-destructive testing field, Olympus offers industrial endoscopes, ultrasonic defect detection devices, eddy current flaw detectors, and x-ray fluorescence and x-ray diffraction analyzers to help ensure safety and security as well as to contribute to research and development and enhancing the quality of production sites. Furthermore, in the industrial microscope field, increasing importance is being placed on rigorous observation, measurement and control techniques to create the highly integrated electronic components and semiconductor mounting technologies used in smaller digital cameras and mobile phones. Olympus offers various types of industrial microscopes and nano-level measurement equipment to meet diverse needs.
Product
LEXT OLS 4000 3D Measuring Laser Microscopes
With a measuring capability equivalent to that of a contact profilometer, the LEXT OLS 4000 helps improve safety and reliability as a good work partner in the industrial field. In collaboration with industrial designer Chiaki Murata, who advocates the "designing of action," Olympus thoroughly examined how users utilize laser microscopes. Based on this study, we devised a user-friendly and efficient product design.

IPLEX YS Industrial Videoscopes
The longest Olympus videoscope, at 30 meters, the IPLEX YS incorporates a broad range of innovative technologies such as air articulation—letting you manipulate scope articulation with the compact palm-held controller—a testing image gravity sensor, and a lens cleaning function at the tip of the scope. Ideal for inspections in sites which require long scopes, such as for the plumbing at a plant.

OmniScan MX2 Phased Array Flaw Detector
This non-destructive testing equipment uses ultrasound to estimate the location and size of flaws in the testing area. Featuring a robust and portable design, the OmniScan MX2 produces a rapid and detailed cross section image of the subject area. The unit is equipped with manual and automatic testing functions in order to enable you to conduct testing effectively.

DELTA Handheld XRF Analyzers
Delta Handheld XRF Analyzers provide fast analysis of the chemical elements in the materials you are testing. Because the units are handheld (compact, light, and battery operated), there is no need to cut and draw away samples, and instead you can conduct non-destructive testing on site. These handhelds are implemented in a broad range of areas including alloy grade identification, mineral analysis, testing of materials containing RoHS, testing materials containing cultural assets, testing for product safety, and more.
