Overseas Photographic Fieldwork

Olympus has started supporting a new course in documentary photography at Nippon Photography Institute. The institute has invited a world renowned Photojournalist Sebastian Ribeiro Salgado as the leader of the course. Each student is equipped with an Olympus Digital Camera which they use to report every day's work through their blog. The field work is continuing 6 months without a break and covering many of Asian countries. This is a very rare and difficult course. It is almost impossible to find similar course all over the world. We are proud of supporting the students who will be the future documentary photographers.

Oyako's Day

Olympus was deeply impressed by a proposal from photographer, Bruce Osborn. His idea is to encourage families to take family photos at least once a year, as a way to open up conversations and reaffirm the inseparable ties between them.

Our corporate slogan, "Your Vision, Our Future", expresses Olympus's
promise to create and realize dreams for people around the world. Olympus is happy to support the dream of Mr. Osborn, which is to see smiles on the faces families, and to spread "Oyako's Day" all over the world, and "Oyako's Day Planning Committee", which was established to support this project.
