Amiy Mori
Widely known for her portraits of Hollywood celebrities and international business leaders, Amiy Mori is also a full-service media producer who conceives, plans, writes, and photographs special feature projects for publication in major magazines. She has collaborated with embassies, tourist bureaus, and corporations on such projects, and is also active internationally as a writer, lecturer, and commercial photographer.
On the wonder of photography
To take a photograph is to freeze a memory in time. From the dreamy memories of childhood to the final moment of departure from this world - even when the brain can no longer resolve the details, photographs are a testament to the reality of each moment of happiness and sadness, and can contain an entire life. Collected in a photo album, those precious moments become a treasure trove of memories protected from time.
What are photographs? To me, photographs are the precious moments I have experienced. And if people who chance to see them can feel some measure of love and affection . . . that is my ultimate reward.
