Anju
Originally scouted by Givenchy, Anju moved to Paris and enjoyed a successful career as an international fashion model before returning to Japan in 1988 and launching a second career as a photographer. With images and words, she has created a photographic world of her own ever since.
Anju's numerous published works and photo exhibitions include "A Girl's Future" (Shoujo no Yukue) and "Le petit garcon" (Hoshi o Meguru Shounen), that are photo-novels evoking the adolescent world, and Little Sun" (Chiisana Taiyou) a collection of photos featuring her cat. Her work is regularly featured in magazines and advertisements, and she frequently lectures and serves as a photo contest judging committee member. In 2007, Anju produced a photo mural for "day by day," a stylish boutique hotel in Hamamatsu City. Always busy, she also continues to write fantasy novels for her fans, and song lyrics for the famous Japanese pop star, Kenji Sawada.
On the wonder of photography
Children experience wonder and joy every day. So I thought I would communicate the E-410's "Go Find Your Wonders" message with the help of my nephew, Yuudai. The great thing about the E-410 is that it's really stress-free to use, perfect for shooting very stylish images of everyday life. In my nephew's hands, a clear red heart becomes a magic monocle that reveals a new red world. In my photography, I want to always match that imagination and sense of wonder.
