| We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the people affected by the earthquakes off Sumatra Island and the devastating tsunami waves in the Indian Ocean.
Olympus Group has initiated group-wide aid efforts, involving our employees and affiliated companies throughout the world, including a “matching gift program”. In this program, our group made a donation equivalent to the contributions collected from our employees. As a result, we were able to donate about 20 million yen to the Red Cross and other aid organizations around the world. We sincerely hope that the support activities by Olympus Group will contribute toward the relief of the tsunami victims and the earliest possible reconstruction of the disaster-effect regions. |
