Koji Suzuki has actively participated in international design competitions since his university days as an industrial design major. He believes that the success of a telephone booth that was accepted for a Taiwanese competition helped him to win a job with Olympus. He decided to apply for a position as a designer with Olympus after being impressed by the beautiful Y-shape design of the BX50, which he saw in a magazine, and today he's working alongside the respected senior designers responsible for that product. In addition to the MIC-D, Koji has also been involved in design work for surgical microscopes and stereo microscopes. His preference is for designs that create a sense of mechanical "gadgetry". |
