A veteran engineer, Shuichi Takayama has, since joining Olympus, been involved
in the development of electrical systems for medical endoscopes. In December
1999 he was appointed head of personnel. After three years in that post, he assumed
responsibility for technology strategy as head of research and development coordination
at the Corporate R&D Center. In addition to his recent role as leader of the
team
that implemented OTF85, he also directed the implementation of OTF80. |
