Tatsuyuki Uemura was responsible for the development of technology for i:robe, an integrated system combining a digital camera with storage and a printer. He has a system in his home which helps him to learn how people will react to this new way of enjoying the full potential of photographic and sound recording. He is also interested in how women and children interact with this technology.

Because of his involvement in the development of MO drives, Keito Fukushima was put in charge of developing the storage technology for the MR-500i. "I believe that there will be increasing connectivity between computers and digital appliances, even those made by different manufacturers." Fukushima is himself an m:robe fan who enjoys using his system while commuting to work by train.
