Denjiro Yonemura
was born in Chiba Prefecture in 1955. He competed a postgraduate degree in
science education at Tokyo Gakugei University. After working as an instructor
at Jiyugakuen and as a teacher in a public high school in Tokyo, Yonemura launched
his independent career in April 1996 with the aim of teaching as many people
as possible to appreciate the fun of science. He appeared on NHK program "Ore
wa Nippon no Garireo Da!?" [I'm the Galileo of Japan!?]. He established
Science Production, Inc. in 1998 and has since been involved in a variety of
activities, including the planning and development of science experiments,
the presentation of science shows, experimental classes and seminars, and the
planning and supervision of television shows and magazines, as well as personal
appearances. Yonemura has also written a number of books, notably "Yonemura
Denjiro no Omoshiro Kagakukan" [The Fascinating Science Hall of Denjiro
Yonemura], "Yonemura Denjiro no Omoshiro Kagaku Myujiamu" [The Fascinating
Science Museum of Denjiro Yonemura] (published by Ohmsha), and "Oyako
de Tanoshimu Kagaku Jikken" [Science Experiments for Parents and Children]
(published by Takarajima Shinsho). |
