Toshiaki Kato, M.T.SBB.
	Vice Director Hokkaido Red Cross Blood Center Toshiaki Kato was born in Obihiro, Hokkaido, in 1948. He joined the Hokkaido Red Cross Blood Center in March 1974 after previously working in two hospital testing laboratories. As a researcher, he helped to refine HBs antigens and antibodies (hepatitis B) and was also involved in the development and manufacture of test reagents. He has worked in the testing field since 1983. His hobbies are canoeing and fishing.
