In charge of developing cameras, film scanners and printers. Has been specializing in image processing systems since his first involvement in image quality design at the time of the E-1. His first camera was an Olympus Pen F, which his parents bought for him when he was at primary school. After looking after this camera carefully all this time, he recently gave it to his own child as a present. He got interested in astronomy at high school and imitated older students by attaching an Olympus OM SLR to his telescope. The lens he borrowed from one of his seniors was a Zuiko.
