| Summary |
| Olympus Optical Co., Ltd. is pleased to introduce the Voice-Trek V-90 IC recorder. Ultracompact, ultralight and ultrathin, it is designed for both style and performance. The versatile functions include Long Playback (LP) Mode recording lasting up to 90 min. and a convenient Audio Scheduler. |
| The Indispensable Personal Accessory |
The V-90 offers a number of advantages for personal recording. It can hold up to 297 messages lasting 90 min., while the Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA) and Fast Playback make operation easy and efficient. There is also the convenience of Time/Date Stamp, Audio Scheduler and Alarm Playback functions.
With distinctive good looks unusual among IC recorders, the ergonomic lines make a statement about style as well as simplify handling. The ultralight design weighs only 45 g with a battery, so it is easy to take along and use as a portable audio scheduler. |
| Availability |
| The Voice-Trek V-90 will be released in Japan on June
10, 1999, with a suggested retail price of ¥16,000. |
| Main Features |
| Trim and Stylish Design |
| Small and lightweight, the V-90 weighs only 45 g with
a battery, and its ultrathin design-which is only 16 mm thick-fits neatly
in a shirt pocket. The ergonomic lines not only simplify handling, but
define a distinctive look for an IC recorder. With this unobtrusive sophistication,
people may even forget they are being recorded. |
| Recording up to 90 Min. |
| The V-90 can hold about 33 min. of input in the Standard
Playback (SP) Mode and approximately 90 min. in the Long Playback (LP)
Mode. With this capacity, there is enough memory to record a business
meeting and most other occasions. |
| Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA) |
| When sound reaches a certain point, the Variable Control
Voice Actuator (VCVA) starts recording automatically and stops within
approximately 1 sec. after the level falls. Particularly helpful in extended
recording, VCVA not only conserves memory and battery life, but makes
playback more efficient and convenient. Either High or Low can be selected
for the start/stop level. |
| Convenient Three-Folder Storage |
| Up to 99 audio files can be stored in each of the A,
B and S folders. With this convenient data management, recordings can
be classified according to purpose, person or other category. Files in
the A and B folders show the time/date of a recording during playback
or skipping to the next message. Since the S folder can hold up to 15
files for playback on a particular date, it is especially useful for
keeping track of daily tasks and appointments. |
| Alarm Playback |
| The Alarm Playback can be used to set a time for Auto
Playback of a selected audio file. It also initiates playback of all
S folder recordings designated for a particular date. This added convenience
makes the V-90 an ideal audio scheduler. |
| Fast Playback |
| When the Playback button is held for longer than 1 sec.,
playback is speeded up to approximately 1.3x the normal rate. This feature
is especially helpful when a key passage has to be located right away. |
