| Summary |
 |
| Olympus Imaging Corporation (President: Masaharu Okubo)
is pleased to announce the introduction of 2 new lenses for use with "Designed-for-Digital" SLR
cameras. The new lenses are "ZUIKO DIGITAL 35mm F3.5 Macro" lens,
which is scheduled to go on sale in November 2005, and "ZUIKO DIGITAL
ED 18-180mm F3.5-6.3" lens, which is scheduled to go on sale in Spring

that maximize the performance potential of the image sensor in "Designed-for-Digital" Olympus
E-System digital SLR cameras based on the "Four-Thirds System". The
2 newly announced lenses are compact, lightweight, and offer excellent
cost performance. |

a 35mm camera) without any attachments. It enables users to easily
take handheld macro photos of flowers, insects, and other subjects
they encounter in daily life. |
 |
| Having already released the fast-aperture, medium-telephoto "ZUIKO
DIGITAL ED 50mm F2.0 Macro" lens, and with a telephoto macro lens
scheduled for release in 2006, as well as a wide range of accessories
to support macro shooting, Olympus plans to continue to expand its "Digital
Macro World" offerings. |
 |
| "ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 18-180mm (*136-360mm)
F3.5-6.3" lens is a lightweight, high-power zoom lens weighing only
440g that offers a zoom range suitable for a wide range of commonly
encountered shooting situations. It boasts excellent close-up capabilities,
and has a minimum shooting distance of only 45cm at any zoom setting.
