- This is the scernery for us to feel relax and think about the importance of nature. The number of bamboo groves is recently decreasing due to developing of housing lands and river engineering, etc., however, I want to convey the importance of nature in order to see such scenery forever.

- I took this photo at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA.
As I was leaving, I heard a rustling from the ground cover. I looked over and up popped this Chipmunk!
Then he started nibbling on a flower.
It shows that if we stop and take a moment to look around, we'll see the most amazing things nature gives us!

- Following a rain shower, a puddle formed in a garden around the flower in a garden, I put a hydrangea behind it to achieve the beautiful color contrast. But something was still missing from my photo. I found a little spider who kindly volunteered as a model. It explored the whole flower island and I took lots of photos of it in various poses then chose the best one.

- Keeping within the title of the competition, the idea/inspiration was to capture the fine detailed outline of a Mantis gazing into the sun in the simplest form yet highlighting the size difference of both natural subjects. As I was unable to capture the idea naturally, this image was in fact photographed in studio. The Mantis was placed on a branch with the backdrop being a flash/strobe posing as the sun.
I just love the simplicity and mystery of this image and I hope viewers are captured by this in the same way I am.

- I took this photograph in a grassy plain in Mongolia. The sun is shining and the cozy wind is always blowing there due to its distinctive geographical condition. This plain is called "Natural Ranch" and famous for a wonderful summer resort area. The cattle and sheep are living vividly and this place is full of vitality like a glittering picture.
