Summary
Olympus Optical Co., Ltd. is pleased to introduce the new WIDE PC Series. The 8x 25 model has a 72° apparent field of view*, while the 10x 25 version has a 70° apparent field of view. Both of them feature a compact porro-prism design, UV protection and multicoated lenses.
These advantages add up to outstanding viewing performance and exceptionally easy handling.
The All-Purpose Answer
The compact porro-prism WIDE PC Series delivers a large and clear image with a wide apparent field of view - 72° with the 8x 25 model and 70° with the 10x 25 version. Large and distinct, the image makes it easy to spot the subject in pursuits from spectator sports to bird-watching and hiking. To prevent fatigue during extended use, the eyepieces have lens elements with UV protection to cut harmful ultraviolet rays.
The lenses have five groups with seven elements made of environmentally friendly lead-free glass. Their multicoating produces a bright field of view, while the aspherical eyepiece lenses minimize distortion to create a sharp and clear image. Both models have a prism with a high refractive index of Bak 4 - further assurance of a bright, well-defined image even around the edges.
Finished in a metallic silver color, the design exudes an unmistakable sense of style and quality. With its special rubber coating, the grip fits firmly in the hands for comfortable and confident handling. Operation is also simplified by the large focusing dial and sliding eyepiece rings.
* Apparent field of view refers to the angle seen through the lens. If the apparent field of view is wide, so is the actual one, even at high magnifications.
Main Features
Wide-Angle Filed Of View
A wide apparent field of view - 72° with the 8x 25 model and 70° with the 10x 25 version - is a key to a large, clear image. This power and clarity ensure that the subject is easy to spot, making the WIDE PC Series the perfect choice for outdoor life from spectator sports to bird-watching and hiking.

UV Protection
The eyepiece has a specially formulated lens element with UV protection that cuts harmful ultraviolet rays. Designed to minimize eye strain during extended use, the WIDE PC Series is ideal for spectator sports, camping and other outdoor pursuits.

Multicoated Lenses
The multicoated lenses ensure optimal transmission of light and a bright and clear field of view.

Aspherical Optics
By cutting distortion to a minimum, the aspherical lenses in the eyepieces produce an extremely well-defined image.

High-Refraction Prism
The high-quality Bak 4 prism minimizes loss during light transmission to ensure the field of view is bright and sharp, even around the edges.

Stylish Looks And Sure Handling
A metallic-silver finish adds to the stylish good looks that exude a sense of quality. The grip's special rubber coating offers firm handling, while the large focusing dial reflects the priority placed on easy operation.

Adjustable Eyepiece Rings
The eyepiece rings can be adjusted by sliding them up or down according to the situation. This easy fit ensures that the binoculars will be comfortable to use, whether or not a person is wearing glasses.
