Summary |
 |
Olympus Optical Co., Ltd. (President: Masatoshi Kishimoto) is pleased to announce the new Voice-Trek V-10 Digital Voice Recorder. This compact, lightweight model was designed for functionality and originality, and features a highly sensitive directional microphone that allows you to record the sound orientated the recording situation with a high degree of accuracy. A USB connection kit is provided for easy connection with your PC. The Voice-Trek V-10 will go on sale in early-July in Japan. |
 |
With its highly sensitive directional microphone, the Voice-Trek V-10 has a mode switch for easy selection of microphone sensitivity and directivity in response to the recording situation. The Normal setting is used for recording overall ambient sound equally, while the Zoom setting increases the sensitivity of the microphone in the forward direction for the focused recording of selected sound sources.
In addition to the conventional Standard Playback (SP) and Long Playback (LP) recording modes, a new High-quality Playback (HQ) mode delivers even better quality recordings. A special stand is provided to dampen vibration and enhance recording quality when the Voice-Trek V-10 is placed on a desk or other surface during use.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the Voice-Trek V-10 meets the voice recorder standards embodied in the basic concept of "excellent sound through superior recording." The design gives the fullest consideration to ease of use, with a strong yet stylish aluminum speaker grille and a backlit LCD display, all housed in a compact body that weighs only 65g including batteries. Since sound recordings are stored as WAVE files-one of the standard formats used with Windows-the Voice-Trek V-10 is ideal for people who are newcomers to the world of PC-connectable digital voice recorders.
A USB connection kit is included as standard so that you can download recorded voice files to your PC for easy playback and file management, and thus use the Voice-Trek V-10 for direct recording into the PC in place of a microphone.
The Voice-Trek V-10 comes with various other functions, including a VCVA (Variable Control Voice Actuator) which automatically starts and stops recording, fast playback for rapid checking of recorded contents, and a three-folder function which allows recordings to be categorized.
