Image analysis software for industrial microscopes "analySIS FIVE"
*  Sample combination of an industrial microscope and microscope digital camera
This product is available in Asia only.
Olympus Corporation (President: Tsuyoshi Kikukawa) is pleased to introduce that we will release "analySIS FIVE" on Jan 25, 2005. This image analysis software allows users to add features according to their needs and budgets and operate* a microscope directly from the software.
*   Only the microscopes from Olympus and their dedicated digital cameras are supported. Controllable functions depend on the microscope and camera used.
The image analysis software "analySIS FIVE" is designed for users of industrial microscopes compatible with digital cameras for microscopes. Users can select from 5 types depending on their required functions, such as "measurement," "database," "report creation," and "particle analysis."
Olympus will provide users with a total solution by introducing this dedicated image analysis software in addition to the industrial microscopes and dedicated digital cameras currently available from Olympus.

Key Functions
1.   Camera Control / Microscope Control
This allows controls of a digital camera and microscope from the software. A series of processes from observation to report creation can be completed on a PC.
2.   Measurement
This allows counting of particles and measuring the distance between two points and dimensions, etc. Results can also be saved/output together with images.
3.   Database Storage
Together with obtained images, the datasheets and graphs of analysis results can be stored in a database.
Examples of Main Measurement / Analysis Using "analySIS FIVE"
Automotive Industry
-   Hole detection in brake parts and dimension measurement
-   Metal part cross-section observation, particle count
Iron-making / Steel Industry
-   Phase analysis
-   Grain size analysis
Material Industry
-   Particle analysis of metal embedded samples
-   Carbon fiber material cross-section observation, dimension measurement
Laboratory / Others
-   Crack observation at welded parts
-   3-D image creation for mineral substance samples
