receives Japan Camera Grand Prix 2014 Editors Award

Olympus Imaging Corporation (President: Haruo Ogawa) is pleased to announce that the Olympus OM-D E-M1, the flagship model of Compact System Cameras that integrates the DSLR systems, receives "Editors Award" of Japan Camera Grand Prix 2014 by the Japan Camera Journal Press Club.
The judging committee said, "As the flagship Compact System Camera of Olympus, an improved and upgraded version of the earlier E-M5, this new model realizes well-balanced and highest-level imaging, response and operability. This camera supports the use of all Four-Thirds lenses as it is equipped with both phase detection AF and contrast AF systems on the image sensor. It is built for professional level use, with advantages including the manufacturer's proven dustproof and splashproof performance, and compact and lightweight camera body."
About the Japan Camera Grand Prix
The Camera Grand Prix is held under the auspices of the Japan Camera Journal Press Club. Founded in September 1963, the Club's membership includes camera journalists from 10 of Japan's leading photography and camera journals. "Editors Award" is presented to the still camera introduced in Japan during the past year that the Japan Camera Journal Press Club members deem most popular, valuable and innovating to the market.
