Event report1st Olympus X Innovation Forum
The medical equipment market, which includes endoscopes, is changing significantly and is forecast to grow as the global population ages and the patient population increases. Various industries are newly entering this market at a rising pace by leveraging of artificial intelligence (AI) based on advances in digital technology, robotics technology, ICT and IoT.
In addition to shared-platform technologies, products resulting from normal evolution, and other businesses that Olympus has established in new fields, the Technology Innovation Office has been set up to propose and execute innovation strategies in response to opportunities created by risks in existing businesses.
Potential partners, including governmental agencies, universities, research organizations, and companies, were invited to the Olympus X Innovation Forum, which was held on May 16, 2018 to introduce the Technology Innovation Office and its initiatives.
For a Healthy, Safe, and Secure Society
