Olympus Museum Visit (Dokkyo University)

A professor of law at Dokkyo University brought 14 students to the Olympus Museum as part of their studies on medical safety. The visitors split up into two groups and took a tour of the Museum to learn about the history of Olympus' scientific, imaging and medical businesses and technological evolution, and also visited a section where they had the opportunity to operate Olympus products. The visitors asked several questions about specific actions taken by Olympus to ensure the safety of its medical devices. According to their comments following the visit, the students left the museum with "a greater understanding of how medical devices are used, especially after getting the chance to personally operate some of them."
