The University of Yamanashi and Yamanashi prefectural government are operating a joint program aimed at training medical equipment design and development staff. Twenty participants, including both employees and management staff of manufacturing businesses based mainly in Yamanashi Prefecture, recently toured the Olympus Museum to learn more about medical equipment manufacturing. The tour participants listened with great interest as museum staff discussed the evolution of the technologies used in microscopes, cameras, and endoscopes. They also had numerous questions over the course of the tour, with a particular focus on the manufacturing processes and safety aspects of endoscopes and endotherapy devices. |
