OLYMPUS E-330

Product name
OLYMPUS E-330
Type
Digital SLR camera
Released
February 2006

The E-330 enables shot framing via an LCD display equipped with full-time Live View, a first among digital single-lens reflex cameras. The solution is achieved with a CCD sensor in the viewfinder's optical system using the newly introduced porro mirror, which works separately from the Live MOS imaging sensor. The E-330 offers the distinct advantages of an SLR, such as mobility, operability, reliability and superb imaging, but eliminates the need for a viewfinder. Users can enjoy the unprecedented freedom to shoot comfortably from diverse angles, a difficult challenge when using viewfinder-bound SLRs at the time the E-330 debuted. Traditionalists, of course, use the camera's viewfinder mode. (open price)
