Olympus APAC is dedicated to serving the needs of healthcare professionals in the Asia Pacific region by partnering with them to provide best-in-class solutions and services for early detection, diagnosis, and minimally invasive treatment, aiming to improve patient outcomes by elevating the standard of care in targeted disease states. We operate directly in nine countries: Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Our local presence enables us to offer a full range of services including sales, repair, and service, ensuring our customers receive the best possible support.

APAC Chief Executive Officer

Marc Radatt

Marc was born in South Africa and holds commerce degrees from The Cape Peninsula University of Technology and The University of South Australia.

Prior to joining Olympus, Marc held several management positions working for a variety of technology-focused companies, including Philips and LG Electronics. His career spans numerous countries and continents including South Africa, The United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and most recently Singapore.

Marc commenced his career with Olympus in 2004 in Sydney Australia where he served as the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand in the Consumer Imaging business. In 2013, Marc moved to Singapore, to take on the role as Division Director of the Consumer Imaging Business for Olympus Corporation of Asia Pacific.

In 2019, Marc was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Olympus Corporation of Asia Pacific, with full strategic and operational responsibility for the APAC Region. In addition, he also concurrently serves as the Managing Director of Olympus Singapore and sits on the board of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed).

Olympus Singapore (OSP) was founded in 1989 and is one of our organisation's earliest international business centres outside of Japan. Olympus Singapore has expanded over time, opening a dedicated research and development facility in 2000 and consolidating entities under one roof in 2015 to 2018 in a state-of-the-art office space named 'Henkaku' (Transformation).

The official business language of OSP is English. OSP has approximately 220 members distributed across four divisions: Operations (Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Strategic Planning & Operations, Supply Chain, SAP, IT, Internal Audit, Legal & Compliance), Medical Systems Business, and a Medical Research and Development Division (an extended arm of Tokyo's Research & Development Team).

Olympus Korea (OKR) was established in 2000 and its headquarters are located in Seocho-gu, South Korea. The headquarters oversee all business functions of OKR. OKR's team comprises approximately 400 members distributed across several different functions, including marketing, sales, service, logistics, and administration.

In addition, OKR operates a specialised facility, the Korea Training and Education Centre (KTEC), in Songdo, Incheon. KTEC provides education, training, and support to healthcare professionals. The official language used at the centre is Korean.

The Olympus Hong Kong and China Limited (OHC) structure, established in 1990, is unique as it not only houses the main office and medical workshop of OHC in the Kowloon Commerce Centre in Kwai Chung, but also serves as a major office for Olympus Corporation of Asia Pacific Limited (OCAP).

There are two manufacturing sites, one located in the Wyler Centre in Kwai Chung and the other in the China Resources International Logistics Centre (CRILC) which serves as a 24-hour warehouse facility. The main language of OHC is Cantonese, but English and Mandarin are also commonly used. The OHC and OCAP entities have a combined headcount of approximately 170 employees, spread across the Medical Systems and Manufacturing Divisions.

The OCAP entity mainly houses regional corporate functions including Corporate Strategy, Compliance, Audit, Legal, and Corporate Services (which includes Finance, Accounting, HR, Administration, IT, and Logistics).

Additionally, the APAC Medical Systems Division is headquartered in Hong Kong.

Olympus Malaysia was founded in 2001 and initially focused solely on consumer imaging products. In 2014, the company acquired the medical portfolio from a local distributor.

Olympus Malaysia operates out of its main headquarters in Kelana Jaya and a branch in Penang. The official business language is English, but Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Hokkien are also used to communicate with customers from diverse backgrounds.

The company employs around 80 staff members across various functions including Sales, Marketing, Service, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Human Resources, IT, Finance, and Warehouse Services.

Established in 1999, Olympus Thailand Co., Ltd has offices located in key locations throughout Thailand, including a head office in the Huai Khwang district of Bangkok and a dedicated training and education facility in the Prawet district called T-TEC (Thailand Training and Education Centre).

OTH is separated into four departments: Medical, Corporate, T-TEC, and MET (Medical Education and Training) and has approximately 200 personnel.

The T-TEC facility, which was first established in 2016, has directly contributed to an increase in endoscopists in Thailand and improved support activities for medical societies and NGOs (Non-Government Organisations) across Asia Pacific.

Olympus Corporation established Olympus Medical Systems Vietnam Co. Limited (OVN) in 2005 as a legally registered entity in Vietnam to provide customer support for its Endoscopy business. Olympus Vietnam has two offices, one located in Hanoi and another in Ho Chi Minh City, and has expanded its product base and services to cover the entire nation.

The company has approximately 85 staff distributed across several functions, including Sales, Marketing, Field Service, Technical Service, Regulatory Affairs, Finance and Accounting, Supply Chain, Human Resources, General Affairs, Compliance, and IT.
