| Event Outline | The Shirakami Tree Planting Festa 2019 is an activity that Aomori Olympus has been carrying out annually since 2007 with the cooperation and guidance of the NPO, The Shirakami Mountain Preservation Society, in order to protect valuable animals, plants and ecosystems in the World Natural Heritage ""Shirakami Mountains"" and to leave important local nature for future generations. In this year, a total of 76 people, including Aomori Olympus employees and their families (including children), planted 100 beech seedlings. The children learned the importance of nature conservation by digging holes for planting beech seedlings and placing seedlings in the holes while receiving lectures, they experienced tree planting activities while hoping that beech seedlings will grow large and powerfully in the future. We will continue this activity as part of our efforts to contribute to the environment and local communities, and as a good opportunity for environmental education for children who will play a key role in the future. |
