Event Outline Kokkyo naki Kodomotachi (Children without Borders) is a non-profit organization approved by the city of Tokyo. Every year, it sends Japanese residents aged 11 to 16 to a developing country as Yujo no Reporters (Young Reporters for Friendship) with two goals: interview children who are living in difficult situations and build friendships with them. In 2019 the organization dispatched high school student Riku Ito and junior high school student Kanata Takahashi as Young Reporters for Friendship to the Philippines, where the duo visited juvenile detention centers and poor neighborhoods. Olympus provided support by loaning cameras to the Young Reporters and local children. During a photo exhibition entitled "A Treasure Hunting Journey by the Youth Reporters for Friendship and Filipino Children" held in September in Tokyo, the two Young Reporters for Friendship talked about the harsh realities faced by many Filipino youths, as well as the bonds of friendship that transcend national borders.
