Event Outline Students studying chemical and biological engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Ube College made their third visit in 2019 to the Olympus Museum in order to learn more about Olympus, with a particular focus on its endoscopes. They were lectured about Olympus' milestones in scientific, imaging and medical endeavors and technological evolution and familiarized themselves with the company's products in a fun way by operating select devices hands-on. The student's post-visit comments included: "A great opportunity to actually touch an endoscope, something rarely seen outside of TV dramas or hospitals" and, "My perception of endoscopes, which I thought were devices based on highly complex technologies, was transformed after I learned that optical fibers and other everyday components are used in it. I no longer see it as a tool removed from the everyday world."
