Sponsorship Liaison Council Related Organizations, Okkonoki Community Center
Date December 7 ~ 8, 2019
Venue Aomori / Japan
Participants Approx. 80 citizens (incl. approx. 20 students of elementary school)
Event Outline Aomori Olympus operated an exhibit in a hobbies-and-collections fair held at Okkonoki Community Center. Designed to showcase the handicrafts (with select items available for sale) and collections of local residents, the fair was also open to local enterprises, such as Olympus, to help them bond with the community. Through its exhibit, Aomori Olympus informed participating elementary-school students that the Olympus treatment tools attached to endoscopes are manufactured in their home town, and briefed them on Olympus' endoscope business. The event succeeded in getting visitors more interested in local enterprises like Olympus, as well as endoscopes, as evidenced by participating children showing surprise that their native town is home to an Olympus facility and saying that they learned a great deal about the endoscopes produced by Olympus.
