Olympus Corporation (President: Hiroyuki Sasa) is pleased to announce the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III, scheduled to go on sale on September 15, 2017. This interchangeable lens camera conforms to the Micro Four Thirds System standard, and is equipped with in-body 5-axis image stabilization that delivers blur-free, high-quality images in a variety of shooting scenes.
This interchangeable lens camera also features a compact, lightweight timeless body design with four camera assist shooting modes and high-speed AF performance that makes it possible for anyone to capture beautiful photos.

1. In-body 5-axis image stabilization for blur-free, high-quality images in any scene
The OM-D E-M10 Mark III is equipped with high-performance in-body 5-axis image stabilization and the same TruePic VIII image processor used in the acclaimed flagship OM-D E-M1 Mark II, which helps improve low-light shooting performance. In combination with the 5-axis image stabilization, it delivers users of all levels beautiful blur-free images and movies in any shooting scene without using a tripod. A maximum of four shutter speed steps of compensation performance3 provides pin-sharp photos with high image quality where camera shaking is prominent, such as in night scenes and dim indoor conditions, and when using a telephoto lens. Because the OM-D E-M10 Mark III’s image stabilization is built into the camera body, it provides beautifully stable images no matter what lens is attached to the camera. This powerful 5-axis image stabilization also works well in 4K movies, where camera shakes tend to be particularly noticeable, providing beautiful, high-definition hand-held 4K movies.

2. Compact timeless body design with functionality
The OM-D E-M10 Mark III has a compact and lightweight body that can be easily taken along anywhere and that delivers high image quality. Although the body itself is compact, the camera is designed for ease of use, with an easy-to-hold grip, and the size and shape of controls such as buttons and dials designed for easy operation. This all-in-one body, equipped with a variety of features for different shooting styles and situations, including a high-definition electronic viewfinder, a tilting rear LCD monitor with touch operations similar to a smartphone, and a built-in flash, can be used in any situation.
The body takes on a classic, refined design common in the OM-D series. In addition, the exclusive Genuine Leather Body Jacket, CS-51B is also available as an accessory. The currently available Genuine Leather Shoulder Strap, CSS-S109LL II, and Genuine Leather Lens Cover, LC-60.5GL, are the same color and material as the body jacket, making it easy to create a coordinated look for the camera.

3. Four camera assist shooting modes from full auto to advanced creative shooting
This model is equipped with four camera assist shooting modes so that even first-time interchangeable lens camera users can shoot with ease, including AUTO, SCN (Scene), and the new AP (Advanced Photo) and ART (Art Filter) modes. These useful shooting modes are assigned to the mode dial for easy access.
In AUTO mode you simply release the shutter, and the camera makes all the necessary adjustments to capture beautiful photos. With this mode, anyone can capture blur-free, pin-sharp photos even in dimly lit indoor situations, as the camera automatically selects the optimal settings such as shutter speed, by detecting the shooting scene and subject. In SCN (Scene) mode, simply choose one of six themes and touch the style of image most like the scene you want to capture on the LCD monitor to activate optimal settings. The AP (Advanced Photo) mode delivers advanced photography shootings, such as Live Composite and Multiple Exposure, with simple operations. Bleach Bypass is a new filter in ART (Art Filter) mode, which expands the range of photographic expressions. This new option reproduces the silver retention method (bleach bypass) used when developing film. There are two types available, including Type I, which produces a glossy look like shining silver metal, and Type II, which produces a nostalgic look like old film.

4. High-speed AF performance with touch operations to capture any subject
The OM-D E-M10 Mark III is equipped with high-speed AF for instantly focusing on fast-moving subjects in order to capture beautiful, sharp, focused images.
For example, using Touch AF Shutter to simultaneously focus and release the shutter when touching the area that you want to focus on the rear monitor ensures that you’ll never miss that perfect moment. This model also features the same 121 AF points as the OM-D E-M1 Mark II flagship model that covers most of the image area, so that you can focus a subject anywhere on a monitor. It is also equipped with Face Priority AF and Eye Detection AF to ensure proper exposure and sharp focusing on the face or eye of the person closest to the camera, which is useful for portrait shooting. C-AF, for continuous focusing on moving subjects, and high-speed sequential shooting, for capturing split-second expressions, are also available.
5. Easy smartphone connection and sharing, with built-in Wi-Fi
Many people enjoy posting photos to social media or sharing them with friends. The OM-D E-M10 Mark III is equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, which can be used in conjunction with the Olympus Image Share (OI.Share) smartphone app to easily connect to a smartphone or tablet and transfer recorded images4 for quick upload to social media. Simply scan the QR code displayed on the camera’s rear LCD monitor with a smartphone to connect. A smartphone can also be used as a remote controller for shooting commemorative photos5 and adding GPS information for displaying photos on a map where they were recorded.

1. Shortcut button for improved controls and instantly displaying the shooting menu
The Shortcut button on the left-hand side of the camera can instantly display the shooting menu, and quickly set or switch the shooting modes. For example, you can simply press the Shortcut button while shooting in an SCN (Scene) mode to quickly switch to another theme.

2. Smooth settings and adjustments with the arrow pad, Fn (Function) button, and two dials
Settings are assigned to the four buttons of the arrow pad on the back of the camera, including ISO settings, flash settings, drive settings and focus settings, which can be activated with the press of a button. The customizable Function button is also available, and frequently used features such as the Digital Tele-converter can be assigned for easy activation. Just as on the OM-D E-M1 Mark II flagship interchangeable lens camera, this model is equipped with two dials on the upper section of the body, which can be used to change settings and make smooth adjustments.
