Olympus to be listed the in the “Prime Market” segment on the TSE

On September 24, 2021, Olympus Corporation ("Olympus") announced that it will transit to the “Prime Market” segment on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (“TSE”). The TSE will implement three new market segments – Prime Market, Standard Market and Growth Market – on April 4, 2022.
Olympus received the results of the initial assessment of its compliance with the listing criteria for the new Prime Market segment from the TSE on July 9, 2021. The selection of the Prime Market segment was resolved by the Board of the Directors meeting on September 24, 2021. Olympus will proceed with the application process, in accordance with the schedule set out by the TSE.

The “Prime Market” is oriented towards companies which center their business on constructive dialogue with global investors, have appropriate levels of market capitalization (liquidity), maintain a high quality of corporate governance, and commit to sustainable growth and improvement of medium- to long-term corporate value.

Olympus accepts the results of the initial assessment as a testament to its efforts to improve corporate governance.
