Olympus suspends its Scientific Solutions business in Russia

The recent weeks have presented us with unprecedented challenges. While Olympus is committed to its purpose of making people’s lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling, we are determined to act with integrity and comply with the global call for sanctions to end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible.

Therefore, we have decided to implement certain measures that include suspending capital investments and sales of our Scientific Solutions portfolio in Russia with immediate effect. We remain committed to providing customers and patients with our medical solutions for treating serious diseases to ensure access to healthcare around the world. The measures will be subject to continuous review.

Our thoughts are with the people affected by this war. Olympus and its employees around the world will continue to support them through contributions to international humanitarian efforts, including donations. We sincerely hope Ukrainians will be able to return to peaceful lives as soon as possible.
