Olympus Wins Award for Excellence at the Third Nikkei Integrated Report Awards

TOKYO, March 25, 2024 - Olympus Corporation (Olympus) has announced that its Integrated Report 2023 has received the Award for Excellence at the Third Nikkei Integrated Report Awards.
Since 2018, Olympus has been publishing an integrated report to communicate with investors, securities analysts, and all other stakeholders about how we create value in an easy-to-understand manner. The Olympus Integrated Report 2023 features the enthusiasm of the new CEO, Stefan Kaufmann, as well as a roundtable discussion with Chairperson of the Board Sumitaka Fujita, Executive Chairperson Yasuo Takeuchi, and Kaufmann, along with a message from the new management team. The judges commented, “The roundtable discussion included the background of the CEO change, important management issues at board meetings, and the ideal form of corporate governance for the company, and in addition, the belief that collaboration between the board and the executive team will lead to increased corporate value was evident. The ESG strategy, one of the important initiatives in the company strategy, is also explained in an easy-to-understand manner using diagrams and tables.” Olympus will continue its efforts to enhance corporate value and deepen external understanding of the company through proactively disclosing information and engaging in constructive dialogue with investors, securities analysts, and all other stakeholders.

About the Nikkei Integrated Report Awards
Nikkei has organized the prestigious Nikkei Annual Report Awards since 1998 to enhance and promote annual reports issued by Japanese companies. In recent years, annual reports have evolved and developed into "integrated reports" that incorporate non-financial information such as ESG and explain corporate values that have gained more attention.
