Olympus has specified “Carbon Neutral Society and Circular Economy” as a materiality to be addressed and has established a target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 with net-zero CO2 emissions from its site operations (Scope 1 and 22). For this purpose, we are engaged in manufacturing improvement activities, energy conservation measures, renewable energy introduction, and other initiatives. In addition, Olympus will monitor and calculate greenhouse gas emissions generated at the raw material procurement, distribution, product use and other stages (Scope 32) for each category. And we are also working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the supply chain by promoting green procurement, improving logistics efficiency and developing environmentally conscious products. Our selection as a Supplier Engagement Leader was made in recognition of these ongoing efforts.

Olympus regards Our Purpose of “Making people’s lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling” as the fundamental philosophy behind all our activities. Under this fundamental philosophy, we honor the safety and health of people, as well as the workings of nature that support these, and strive to find a balance between harmony with the environment and the economy within all our products, services and business activities, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society and a healthy environment.
