Event Outline At University of Essex, a three day residential course where students are given the opportunity to work with role-model engineers and specialists on real-life engineering challenges. During the course, students learn about Olympus and are challenged to build a flexible endoscope that can angulate in left/right directions, perform maximum angles against a protractor and navigate a foam lung model in a mock procedure. The project itself is designed and led by Olympus staff; Chris Byford, Team Leader - Training, and additional mentor support provided by Andy Gunn, Quality Engineer together with Curtis Pettifer, Jeffrey Hlongwane and Daniel Cox, Service Engineering apprentices.
