Event Outline | Olympus held an Endoscope Kids Class in Japan in collaboration with the Yokohama Yoshida Junior High School. Through hands-on experiences with examples of the earliest to very latest gastrocameras and fiberscopes, the students learned about the remarkable advancement of medical devices over the decades, including the shift from analog to digital technologies. The participants expressed their hopes for the continued development of endoscope technology, including one student who said, "I hope that combining IT and endoscopes makes it possible to detect diseases earlier." The class was part of a program designed to promote greater awareness of how endoscopes and other IT devices benefit people in daily life. The program was developed with advice from the University of Miyazaki's Faculty of Education and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. |
