| Event Outline | Olympus set up a corporate booth at Global Festa Japan 2019, with volunteers from Olympus on hand to explain Olympus' corporate citizenship programs. Organized by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JICA and others, Global Festa Japan is the largest annual event focusing on international cooperation, the aim being to raise the general public's interest in international cooperation. The Olympus booth had a presentation on a school lunch program for children in developing countries that is supported by Olympus and run by TABLE FOR TWO International (TFT), a non-profit organization. The TFT program asks participating organizations, such as Olympus, to offer TFT-approved "healthier meal options" and mineral water in their staff cafeterias, with part of the proceeds from sales of these items being donated to TFT, which in turn buys and delivers school meals to feed needy children. The approximately 400 people who visited Olympus booth got to learn about this program. |
